Warranty

Solmeta Technology Co., Limited guarantees its product from manufacturing defects and workmanship for a period of two-years from the date of the original purchase. During the two-year warranty, Solmeta Technology will repair or replace the product free of charge. Please keep your original invoice as proof of purchase.

• 1.  Customers who have products covered under the warranty are required to contact Solmeta Technology by email (service@solmeta.com) for troubleshooting issues before returning the product.

• 2. Customers who have purchased their Solmeta products from Nikon on Broadway are responsible for the shipping and insurance charges for returning the product to Nikon on Broadway. Nikon on Broadway will then be responsible for the products return to Solmeta Technology Co. for its repair or replacement.

• 3.  Charges will be imposed for repairing products which are out of the warranty coverage period or invalid warranty.

• 4.  The warranty is not valid if defect is due to damage caused by incorrect use, poor maintenance or if persons not authorized by Solmeta Technology have carried out alterations or repairs.

• 5.  For the device to be used correctly, the user should strictly adhere to all instructions included in the user guide and should abstain from any actions or uses that are described as undesired or which are warned against in the user guide.

INTRODUCTION

GMAX-EOS2 is a GPS receiver specially designed for Canon EOS. It automatically records location data and direction as EXIF information to each photo or video when shooting.

HIGH LIGHTS

    ·  The GMAX-EOS2 is a hardware upgrade of GMAX–EOS. The main improvement of GMAX-EOS2 is Bluetooth equipped. User can enable the Bluetooth to establish wireless connections to mobile, which can then be used to control the camera and take pictures remotely.

    ·  Compatible with Canon GPS Receiver GP-E2, support Canon Mirrorless cameras EOS RP / EOS R, and Canon EOS-1D X, EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 5Ds, EOS 5Dsr, EOS 6D(WG), EOS 7D, EOS 90D, EOS 80D, 70D, 77D, 800D (Rebel T7i), 760D (Rebel T6s), 750D (Rebel T6i), 700D (Rebel T5i), 650D (Rebel T4i), 200D II (Rebel SL3), 200D (Rebel SL2), 100D (Rebel SL1), 1500D (Rebel T7), 1300D (Rebel T6), 1200D (Rebel T5) and also EOS M2, M. All camera models have been tested.

    ·  Dual positioning system, GPS plugs Beidou (BDS), user can choose mixed or single satellite system to records location information (longitude, latitude, elevation, direction, and Universal Coordinated Time (UTC)) as EXIF information to images when shooting.

    ·  Measures Barometric or GPS/BDS altitude, user can choose their preferred altitude data base on actual environment. With the altitude value can be calibrated, the altimeter altitude is more accurate even with no GPS signals in door a room.

    ·  GMAX-EOS2 supports two communication method. Hotshoe for direct camera connection; Digital (USB) Port for connection via dedicated interface cable to USB port.

Bluetooth Shutter Release function is ready

The GMAX-EOS2 is an upgrade of GMAX–EOS. The improvement is the Bluetooth equipped which can establish wireless connections to mobile, and you can use it as a wireless remote to control camera focus and shutter release.

Build in Altimeter Barometer

Two kinds of altitude data provided, one is from GPS, other is from barometric altimeter. Altitude from barometric altimeter can be adjusted and calibrated, which ensure the altitude more accurate.

Indoor location

Re-use the last location information (Latitude, Longitude) when there is no signal. The Altitude, Direction and UTC time are real time running by built-in sensors

Auto working mode

Choosing Auto working mode, GMAX-EOS2 is on / off follows camera's on / off.

Stand-alone GPS logger

4GB memory supports more than 170 days continuous log record at the interval of 1 sec. User copy or delete log files like an "U flash driver".

Hot shoe or USB terminal connectivity

It connects to camera via special USB spiral cable when use an external Flashlight. Another way is simply mounted on camera's hot shoe.

GPS Time Sync

Camera time can be synchronized to UTC provided by GPS.
